  • Comments Off on CNG stations in Lahore likely to open today
Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Punjab Captain Shuja Anwar(r) expressed his hope that CNG stations will open in Lahore on Thursday after observing the three days' closure of gas load management plan of Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL). While talking to Business Recorder, Shuja said that association did not give call of any strike adding that it depends upon the CNG station owners if they think it is viable for them to sell gas on current price.

It is pertinent to mention here that in an attempt to put pressure on the government to increase per kilo price of the compressed natural gas (CNG) most of the CNG stations remained closed in Lahore for the past whole week. Shuja said that CNG owners will open pumps in order to minimise their loss which they are facing due to current prices adding that they have to pay the salaries of their employees as well as they have to pay the bill of gas. Shuja alleged that government wants to destroy the CNG business who is not a big consumer of gas only to benefit the mafia of industrialists who wants gas on cheap rates.
